Celebrating Our Amazing Fosters
As we Continue To Care Through The Crisis, our Greater Cincinnati Community has shown compassion and care for the most vulnerable – our adoptable pets! We want to take "paws" to celebrate and thank the SPCA Cincinnati’s foster volunteers. We hope you enjoy this video highlighting our foster volunteers and adoptable pets!
Foster homes provide temporary care for cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies -- perfect for those who may not be able to volunteer due to our shelter being temporarily closed to the public. It is a wonderful opportunity for many who are home-bound with extra time during the COVID-19 crisis.
We have successfully custom-matched our adoptable pets to each foster home. We have 114 dogs and 51 cats currently in foster homes. The invaluable commitment of our foster families not only helps prepare our animals for adoption into permanent homes, it also helps prevent overcrowding in our shelter.
The SPCA Cincinnati provides veterinary care, medicine, food, and support needed for foster animals, in addition to plenty of support to foster parent volunteers. Foster volunteers provide a nurturing, warm, safe environment and lots of love --- they are an extension of the SPCA family!
